Christians are mocked for their use of prayer to heal those that are sick. I find merit in those who find mere prayer being hypocritical, not in mocking but in serious criticism. God did not create prayer as a mechanism for healing because he did more than just pray to heal someone sick. There is also a physical interaction that plays a role as well which is now the responsibility of the Christian that prays. This is because the role that is taken once a person becomes a Christian, God becomes a part of them that undeniable. Thus they are the physical interaction needed that is not just praying. I am not saying that this overrides the work of a doctor or means that every Christian should become a doctor. Healing takes place in a community, people who take care and love each other.
