and my imagination immediately fantasized that it was a gun shot. it wasn’t loud enough but i entertain the ideas of what would happen if it was. would i go to the door to look out only to attract the attention of the shooter and get shot? or would i run to the door to close it but have the shooter fire a couple rounds into the door and get hit in the abdomen?
i know it’s just neil breaking wood but where do all these what ifs come from?
