it’s only a matter of time before social status becomes a critical issue in online politics. while there are already alternatives to the online world, there has not been a complete control over the virtual world like is possible in the physical world. It seems like an impossibility but drastic measures have been taken by other governments to completely shut down internet access. It is very possible that the gateway to the internet, our gadgets, that are made by corporations could be used to monitor our activity even more than they do now.
